Planning Engineer working for a company that retrieves and encapsulates waste, working throughout the UK on various nuclear sites

Lead Planning Engineer for the Dounreay site on behalf of DSRL.  Ensure compliance in all planning areas to the requirements set by the NDA, critical path analysis, portfolio managemenent and reporting to the client and senior team.  Advise the senior management team on potential savings and way forward.  Run scenarios on funding proposals.  Intelligent customer for the planning software, Primavera.  Write and own the guidance for planning on the site and the rules and tools utilised.

Based at Hunterston 'A' Nuclear Decommissioning Site, as part of a multidisciplinary team working on a portfolio of complex projects associated with the decommissioning process.

With 20 over years experience within Project Control’s, my career has developed to give me a broad understanding of the many elements required to successfully control and aid major project delivery.  My experience covers a diverse range of industries, which has helped to broaden my understanding of the project controls function and its applicability across the project lifecycle.  I have gained valuable experience at all levels from hands work to a senior management role where I have used a range of analytical, organisational and communication skill

• Responsible for the development, integration and reporting of the NDA’s National Schedule across 21 UK Civil Nuclear sites (Overall Budget: £70 billion, 2500 Projects)
• Leading the Business Programme Office.
