WHAT'S IN A NAME?

The Guild chaps have asked us to poll you, our fine practitioners on what you think about the following names that have been proposed for the Guild of Project Controls Career Path Matrix Levels.

The five levels that relate to the Guild's Career Matrix are shown below...

> FELLOW Level (a right know it all)
> EXPERT Level (Planning Manager)
> ADVANCED Level (Senior Planner)
> PROFESSIONAL Level (Planner)
> INTERMEDIATE Level (Assistant Planner)

We have been asked to find out your opinions on these and to offer one last chance to propose a change or to freeze and 'baseline' them...

There has been some discussion whether or not the INTERMEDIATE Level is the appropriate term for those of us in the Assistant Planner / Scheduler, Assistant Cost Engineer or Assistant Project Controls Engineer role etc?

So, in context of the Career Path Matrix and also our Credentials, does it in your opinion reflect a reasonable 'descriptor' for this stage in a practitioners career and also for the Guild Certification they may have attained?
