Importing UDF's into another project update

I need to export UDF fields from my baseline and import into several updates.  

When I export, status_code is mandatory.  When I import my UDF xls file, the status_code from my baseline is still in my xls.

Is this a problem, or will the status_code be recalculated by P6.1?
