Default units/time change while importing

Dear Firends,

We are working in Oil & Gas EPC Project in the Middle East.

We are facing a strange problem(!) with Primavera 6.0 Release 7.0.0.

When we imported a project it shows defaults units/time as 1/d for all labor resources. But when when the same file, exported to a release 6.0 version, it shows actual data set by our Sub contractor i.e., 8/d.

Please let me know how to fix this problem. We want actual data set by the Sub Contractor to be intact.

How to change the defaul setings as regard to resource defaults units/time -URGENT

A faster response will be sincerely appreciated.
