Hi everyone, i need now your help to obtain a explanation to show to prove to someone people if i have the reason.
I have to make a reschedule a plan...the company that have the supervision of the contract have an idea of i have to make the reschudele...i made 2 reschedule in the past in P3, and i had to make this:
1. In my control sheet in excel i have to freeze the information from the start until the day that was select like cut day to reschedule...ok the freeze is only copy and paste in special paste ...only the values not the formulas...
2. In my P3 file i did the follow...a copy of the actual current and i made all the changes in this copy (adding new activities, changing the durations), and create from this the new target and the new current, but maintaining the original structure.
3. Export my resource loading and adjust the percents to continue the s-curve from the next day after the cut and paste in the excel control sheet and create the need formulas.
Well this was the method that i learned, if i'm bad please tell me to fix and learn the correct.
But, the people from the supervision company, have to my mind the wrong idea ...the wanna keep a historic information before the cut day, but they want that in P3 i make this:
if i have the follow chapters in my WBS with the sub chapters and task..

They want, that i keep the original structure and down of this i add the actual structure to which i made the changes...cause they think that this way the historical information remains...so having that idea the P3 file will be thus:

In different occasions i id explain them that the historical information in P3 will be in the previous current that remain in the P3 file, the only have to open to review when they want...but they don't understand that.
So, the question is...I'm rigth o them...or both are wrong?...can somebody explain me if the las option of my question is the rigth...what i have to do to make a good reschedule?..
