man power and machinery productivity calculations

hi ,

i m new to planning field..where i have very little hands on experience

I would like to know on man power and machinery productivty calculations . Also if possible even i would like to know how the man power hour can be estimated for a one cubic meter of work. I would be really greatfull to you.
