Hello fellow PP'ers!
Over the last 20 years I've been active in Planning and Scheduling in various positions and industries. I started in 1988 as a cost engineer using Artemis 2000 (old skool!) making proposal schedules. I became more interested in scheduling doing revamp projects in the dutch 'Europort' for a mechanical contractor. During this period I did not only create and maintain schedules but had various positions within the execution of the projects. However planning was my 'core business'. As from 1998 I became a consultant for Primavera and was involved in the early introductions of Primavera Enterprise (P3e 2.0 I believe). Nevertheless getting deeper into the software strengthened my believe that firsts of all planning is a skill/profession and tools are valuable but just tools!
Between 2000 and 2008 I was partner and managing director of a newly founded planning consultancy firm. We became dutch leaders in both knowledge and support. As per 01 jan 2009 I decided to 'spread my wings' and started Ramus Planning Professionals (RPP). With RPP, and a network of Planning Professionals (like you?), I would like to further improve the use of planning and scheduling techniques within projects and project driven organizations in the Netherlands (and abroad). Therefore I focused on providing advice/support, on both implementation of principles/techniques and software together with training and coaching in our line of profession.
Looking forward meeting you sometime on- or offline!
Regards,
Ed van der Tak
