Primavera is Not responding

Hi All

suddenly primavera hangs once i open any project either from network resource or from the computer hard drive, it stuck on "opening layout" and at the task manager shows "not responding", but it can open the sample projects which comes with the software.
PS: i am using windows xp.

any suggestions?
