Does P6 shows date days in text (i.e. Mon, 4/16/10)

I was recently asked if there was a way to show dates in the format: Day, mm/dd/yy - ala Microsoft Project.

The closer I got to was to go to Edit > User Preference > Dates... but that format is not one of the options?

For contractors’ three week lookaheads tshoeing the date day in text (Mon, Tues, Wed...) would seem convenient.

Any comments, suggestions?
