scheduling overview

hi guys,

i’m new in scheduling and i hope somebody could give me an overview on how this jobs work. i know both MS project and Primavera 3 but my previously my schedule was not base on the manpower/equip production rates. i hope somebody can teach me or give me an overview how its work.
