P3 Compatability with Windows XP

Hello,
I got a new laptop with windows XP instaled on it - but now my P3 can not run any more - what can I do to make it work again?
I downloaded the service pack from the primavera site but Im not sure if this may solve the problem and if it may - where should I install the service pack inorder for P3 to identify and use it?
