Editing Custom Data Fields in P3 Post Office

I would like to have custom fields editable in post office. When I email custom data fields. The recpient of the email cannot modify custom data fields.I have tried to modify the p3.INI file but that didnt that work either.
If you have a solution. Please let me know.
