Thanks for the useful advices. They are informative. To Mr. Reynaldo Calayo: Could you please elaborate more the procedure you are referring to?.....especially changing thru GLOBAL CHANGE? I did those "copying and pasting" of activities but some needs modifications or re-linking. Please help. Thanks again.

For linking of activities, you need to know the logical sequence. Whether the activity can start parallely, has to start only after completion of its predecessor and so on...

That is SS,FS,FF etc.

may be you can follow this option:

In order to link two activities, selct the first activity by mouse click and then press ctrl button + mouse click to select the next activity faraway(bottom of the screen for an example), then click the link button to assign FS(default), later you can change it to whatever way you want........

Yeah, I know about those things...my main problem is I’m being confused with so many activities in the screen ( bar chart or pert view) and how to link activities in their proper relationships.

Anyhow, thanks guys for trying to help.

Hi there,

you can also use the pert-cpm view, same thing point your cursor to the start/finish of activity 1 and drag to start/finish of other activity to which you are relating it.

hope it helps,

hi guys!

hi benj...

if you doing buildings the floor is repetitive .....

do 1 floor have the correct logic for each activity...

after doing 1 floor there is a lot of ways that you can do...

after having 1 floor copy the programme to another file after copying it will have the same activity ID and you have to replace it either manually or by global change i prefer global cahnge it will save you some time .....

after chnaging the activity ID’s make use of merge...

after merging you will have 2 floors now in 1 programme file....then have the profer link from floor to floor....... then copy it again to another programme...and you will have the same activity ID as the original so you have to replace it again.....

what will happen here is that it will be automatically be link from floor to floor........

until such time that you got all the floors

i hope this helps......c",)

Hello ,

Option 1. You only have to select the linking tool in the menu icons.

Then approach the cursor to the end or start of the starting activity, press left mouse button (keep it pressed)when its appearence changes to the one you have in the menu icon (one entry and several arrows out) and drag the cursor to the activity you want to have as successor (start of finishing depending on link wanted). Once in this position release mouse button and link is done. Easy and nice.

Option 2. Call succ. and prede. windows and typ the Act. Id of succ. and predec.

I hope to have been of any help.
