Revised Schedule Problems

The completed progress should reflect no change if the added data only have effect after DD.

The completed progress shall be a single line while the Banana Curve will display 2 S curves after DD, one for early dates and another for late dates.

If you are displaying S curves for current and revised baseline you will see two sets, each with a single line before their respective DD and a split after their respective DD.

If you mean that you want to see 2 S curves before revised baseline DD it will not happen.

Mon,

If you are using P6 you might have set the curve for remaining activities only. in that case the system will not show the completed activities.

Rafael;

yes Sir, i didn't use the original baseline. What I did was from the current data date I add other areas and corresponding quantities of VO. The client allows us and order that to do so.

But unfortunately the completed progress didn't reflect to the new S-Curve generated. And that's my problem that I can't figure out.

What do you think is the problem?

Thanks,

Mon

You don't revise a Baseline after there is progress in your job by using the Baseline file. You revise your Baseline using the latest update to which you will make the necessary changes.

This will even include added activities before new baseline data date that the Owner did not let you display on your updates as if updates are binding. Only contractual approved baselines are binding. Fortunately most modern software allows you to update past periods performance. I don't believe P3 allows for you to revise previous financial periods data, at least not easily.

Because a revised baseline must include all impacts prior to ne baseline DD and it is not uncommon for the parties to agree with regard to a few pending items it is not unusual for a job baseline never be revised.
