In Primavera 6 the resourse types are defined as: Labor,Non labor and Material.
But when you want to add a column for the material, you donot find a column for it! the reason in my openion that P6 consider Material & Equipment as Non Labor.
So U add a Non Labor Column then modify the col. heading to material.
i hope this will do

I think the reason why you can’t find Material Units under available columns is that usually activity has more than one type of material assigned to it that’s why it can’t be summarized to activity level instead of manpower.
(for instance Form & Rebar & Pour activity will have X m3 of concrete as material and Y tonne of rebar).
The way around for one particular type of material is to create custom field and update it from resource assignments data via Excel
Some guy told me a way, it is a trick after all, you can define the cost of the corresponding material as 1$/unit, and you put the budget cost as a column, and revise the name of the column,
so the method is to make the column like you require, but it is the cost actually.

This is a request for improvement to Primavera from some major German EPC-contractors - inclusive the unit of measurement. How theyll solve, if you have multiple materials with different units, we asked Primavera for a solution. Until now not possible.
