Even Primavera admits that P5 will not run under the Vista Operating System. If you have Vista, you will need to buy a copy of XP and switch over or forget trying to run P5. Good luck!

This error message just indicates that P3e isnt able to cooperate with your SQL-Server, either access rights (wrong in this case) or not at all (assumes it doesnt exist). Under other Windows-Operating Systems it would be possible to run your server in 2000-mode and it would work, but not with Vista.

don´t work, present a problem in database configuratíon, "bad public user name or password. SQL Server Erro: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).No existe el servidor SQL Server o se ha denegado el acceso al mismo.;"
I have instaled MS SQL Server Management Studio Express 9.00.3042.00
MDAC 6.0.6000.1638

This procceedure will begin from Database Configuration;
Look at the MSQL server at the bottom of your desktop, make sure ; it is running then in the configuration setting
just click next, then select PMDB then click next.. do not attemp to put password in the middle of the installation , just leave it blank, then clict next,
At the near end of your task , it will ask you only 1 password, then enter admin..
then run... i hope you will be succesful.
Dont hesistate to ask me again if you have difficulty for it.. maybe its not clear for you
regards, uly

These are Windows rights. Primavera needs to write into the registry.
It has to be done by your PC-Admin

How to establish the local administrator?

Hi Doroteo
I assume, you have no local administrator rights on your PC. Youll need those to establish the connection to a local database.
