Lead Planning Engineer.Resident Lead Planning Engineer for the Project (Primavera P6 v7.0) (7 months).

Project details:US$1 (one) Billion, awarded 07Jun2009 as EPCC.

The US$1 billion Disi Water Conveyance Project includes construction of a 325-kilometer pipeline that will pump 100 million cubic meters of water a year from the Disi aquifer in Mudawarra to Jordan’s most populous city Amman, the capital of Jordan. The project includes the construction of the pipeline (325km of 57'' to 66'' steel pipes from the wells area to the inner city storage tanks), 55 deep water (600m) wells, 9 piezometric wells, two pumping stations, break pressure tanks, collector tanks, regulating tanks, two storage reservoirs (100,000m³ & 50,000m³), flow control stations, power lines & substations, service roads, Operation and maintenance buildings, with a total of 22 subcontractors.

My scope of work consisted of

●      The general overhaul of the schedule to get an acceptable baseline and to set up the system needed to keep it updated and in line with the actual progress at site.

●      To set & manage progress values, schedule changes, histograms, resource loads.

●      To calculate & monitor productivity. Analyze and warn management on issues affecting the timely successful completion of the works.

●      Setup and update critical to startup activity matrix’s for top management meetings.

●      Lead subcontractors in planning & monitoring issues to provide a simple and common standard for the management and monitoring of the works. I would do this basically by overhauling their planning and monitoring setup.
