Ms. Janjua has over 10 years of experience in, rail and transit, as well as infrastructure and site work; including projects with complex phasing and stringent time constraint requirements.  She has a strong background in all phases of project and construction management, combined with deep experience in critical path method scheduling, time impact studies, change order review, and claims negotiation and resolution.  She has provided all levels of PM CM, from initial conceptual planning to multi-project schematic budgeting and value engineering, from design monitoring, constructability reviews and bid process management to complete construction field management services, including change management and time impact analyses, through commissioning, project close-out and establishment and maintenance of warranty programs.  At Metro North Railroad, she is responsible for developing training, standards, and procedures, providing scheduling, estimating, and claims overview and expertise, supervising Project Controls Managers in all offices, and business development, as well as taking on analysis and scheduling tasks as necessary.

  • Responsible for directing and leading staff, providing schedule control services, monitoring and reporting on project’s progress, claim analysis, and technical support as needed to ensure the Capital Department goals are achieved.
  • Direct staff in the preparation and establishment of realistic schedules, milestones and certified dates to support the Capital Program and satisfy project stakeholders. Appraise reasonableness of contractor baseline schedules and recommend acceptance or rejection.  Personally provide scheduling services on high profile, complicated, and/or during peak project workloads as needed.  
  • Review projects in early development (Project Management Phase) and recommend to Project Team, based on industry best-practices and the nature of work scope, the appropriate scheduling method (i.e. CPM, Bar Chart etc...)  for effectively monitoring progress during construction.  In addition review and assess projected milestones, durations, and forecasted completion dates of proposed tasks and determine if opportunities exist with respect to the schedule to maximize cost savings and minimize contingency appropriation.  
  • Provide support to Director as needed to ensure that Department goals are achieved.  Generate high level progress reports to senior staff on construction progress with recommendations for recovery as needed.  Analyze and publish ad-hoc reports which include but are not limited to: cash flow forecasting; integrated project Master Schedules; Executive Milestone Reports; and staffing projections. 
  • Develop solutions and recommendations to minimize schedule impacts of potential problem areas of on–going projects and prepare defenses against contractor claims.
