Project Scheduler, CH2M Hill, Hunter Treatment Alliance

START Date:
November, 2009

I am employed by CH2MHILL as the Project Scheduler on the Hunter Treatment Alliance in Newcastle which is a $240 million five-year program of work with the Hunter Water Corporatation.

We have now completed all four Stage 1 Waste Water Treatment Plants successfully and on time, and are nearing completion of Stage 2 as of January 2012.

I am responsible for developing all project schedules and making sure that correct scope of work is reflected in all schedules. Specific duties include analyzing schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas and working with Project Managers to identify workarounds to mitigate impacts. On a monthly basis, prepare schedule performance measurements reports, forecasts and studies. Implementation of project cost statements into each project schedule which then outputs monthly costs for each project.

I have also created and developed our very own Lean Implementation System, which has not only improved weekly performance in regards to our Look Ahead programs but is also user friendly and catered to each of the sites to acheive maximum buy in.

Our Lean Implentation System also saved on consultant fees in the region of $70,000.

Further to my Project Scheduler responsibilities for the entire program, i have also undertaken a Site Engineer role since April 2011 and will continue that dual role in the upcoming future.
