Outline deliverables and milestones

Determine primary time table for deliverables

Sequence major work priorities into a logical schedule

Calculate total float to report the critical path(s) that determine the overall project completion date

Integrate, review, and validate critical path relationships (e.g., predecessors/successors) with primary parties

Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in a hierarchical format

Coordinate with disciplines to gain stakeholder buy-in

Manage the interdependencies between all disciplines

Prepare activity coding dictionary to sort and filter activities by unit, system, discipline of work, etc.

Identify resource availability (e.g., availability of specialists)

Integrate physical restrictions into project schedule without the use of constraints and evaluate schedule impacts via total float

Determine working calendars of each project discipline and activity

Coordinate with Estimating and Construction to determine work durations by commodity

Evaluate durations against historical or similar projects

Manage and control all scheduling data through Primavera Project Manager Version 6.7

Identify appropriate roles and resource(s), per the scope of work

Assign labor hours adequately by resource to match the estimate and staffing plan

Level resources based upon analysis of resource availability and assigned priorities

Collect progress updates from responsible discipline leads

Collect progress updates from subcontractors and vendors for procurement phase activities

Update and evaluate percent complete and progress

Reforecast completion dates based upon progress updates and performance factors

Calculate project schedule duration after input of progress

Review and analyze critical path

Communicate rules of credit effectively to discipline leads and construction superintendents

Oversee reporting of earned value data

Oversee budgeting, adjusting, and verifying (actual quantity survey) work packages

Develop customized schedule reports according to customer requirements

Develop resource and cost reports from project management software

Produce and validate critical path report

Develop milestone schedule report

Validate status report of prior update

Communicate project status report to project team and client via weekly meetings

Coach and/or provide guidance to junior Schedulers

Provide scheduling oversight on projects - Work with a variety of disciplines

Serve as a department's scheduling subject matter expert

Determine scope changes and impacts and initiate change control, as necessary

Develop workarounds to overcome obstacles in the critical path
