Fluor Canada – Kearl Oil Sands Project - Senior Project Controls Specialist                                               Nov 2008 – Jun 2011

The Kearl Oil Sands Project is owned between Imperial Oil (operator) and ExxonMobil Canada. It will be one of Canada’s largest open-pit mining operations with the first phase estimated to cost approximately $8 billion. The initial phase will produce about 110,000 bpd. 

Responsible for the development of integrated area level III schedules and basis of schedule narratives, resource loading and 3 week look-ahead schedule for weekly area task force meeting. Also for the maintenance, update and consistency with engineering, procurement and contracting progress tracking systems, reports preparation (Schedule variance, what if analysis), Change Management and Risk Assessment and Analysis with Pert Master, as well as to develop and maintain process to proactively manage the critical path of the assigned area schedule, on four project areas (River Water Intake, Site Wide Services, Canterra Roads and Utilities Pipelines).  Last occupied position: Project Lead Planner Scheduler.
