MatrixGroup is an Australian software development company that produces BULKmetrix, a configurable commodity handling and management system for the grain and mining industries. With over 15 years of leadership in the Australian grain industry and an emerging presence in the global mining industry, MatrixGroup’s commodity handling solutions are active in over 100 locations across Australia and South East Asia. In 2013, MatrixGroup was acquired by Eka Software Solutions (www.ekaplus.com).  

Accountable to the CEO and the CFO: 

  • Work with the project managers and the sales team to agree the required scope and budget for the projects 

  • Utilise project management tools and accounting systems to provide reporting insight on projects’ performance 
  • Contribute to the development of project business cases, proposals and tender responses 
  • Contribute to the preparation of research and development tax incentive application by evaluating the eligible activities and calculating project expenditure 
  • Maintain project contracts and change orders 
  • Ad hoc financial analysis including budgeting, cost tracking, cash flow forecasting and revenue recognition  
  • Resource forecasting and reporting on the status of the resource pool including skill gaps and over-allocations 
  • Develop and maintain the project management infrastructure (tools, templates, processes and procedures) 
  • Streamline the monthly reporting by establishing a seamless data collection process from multiple sources  
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a quality management system (QMS) according to quality policies including ISO 9100 and 21500 
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Business Development Manager and Professional Services Manager to ensure compliance with project management processes 
  • Liaise closely with the finance team to ensure project costs are charged and allocated correctly 
  • Provide central support, technical input and advice on project management related issues
