Claims Analysis Planner, AMEC, Longannet Power Station - FGD

I spent four months assisting on a claim for the project. This included the production of a P3 programme which visualised the historical data collected in the analysis of many drawings, documents and the contract. Utilising my extensive knowledge of Earned Value allowed me to clearly analyse data and S-curve’s, ensuring I was fully prepared for discussions with the project manager and confident presenting to the client. I also often progressed the program actuals using P5 and updated the expended man hours on a weekly basis.

Producing Conceptual Design Statement’s on upgrading the power to Metropolitan, Circle & District lines. Working out of Royal Mint Court, London. My role as Project Planner required me to co-ordinate team efforts when the manager was unavailable. My primary responsibilities were to monitor and update the schedule, make alterations where required, input expended man hours and compile Earned Value reports. I also attended daily review meetings with the project manager and CDS champions to ensure current progress reporting was accurate.

Managing the production of a Level 5 commissioning programme to be integrated into the master delivery programmes, working as Project Controller at the Longannet Power Station, Scotland. Constant communication with the Commissioning Manager as well as daily meetings with the project team allow me to be kept up to date of current progress and able drive the planning teams within the joint venture to implement the solution both accurately and correctly. I also frequently interface with the client in a formal setting.

Working as Project Controller based at the DOW Chemicals EOEG Plant on the Wilton site, I managed the production of a fully resource loaded Level 5 Decommissioning programme with a value of £7million for Process Division. As part of this I am the first AMEC employee to successfully use the PICS database system and Primavera 6 together. This involved using the SDK to automate the integration between MS Access & P6.

Planning Engineer - Construction, AMEC, Milford COGEN on the DRAGON Project

Develop and detail the construction and commissioning schedule for the Milford COGEN facility, an offshoot of the DRGAON Project. Utilising DRAGON Project Boil Off Gas to drive co generation waste heat boilers and gas turbines in order to generate power sufficient to drive the Dragon Project whilst also exporting to the nation grid any surplus power.
