I.                         SUMMERY                  

I am very young, energetic and innovative Mechanical Engineer, ready to face different difficulties in getting my best experience. I have a good nature of trying my best in improving and mastering my work within short period of time. And also I have a good ability in creating work related new ideas, from designing to fruitful advising of new maintenance control mechanisms, that will help to have more and more effective equipment maintenance control systems. For the past four and half years I have been involved working in different companies in job positions related to Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of construction equipment and machinery.

 

II.                  EDUCATION AND TRAINING    

 

BSc. Degree [2012] in the field of Mechanical Engineering with CGPA 3.32 out of 4 from Mekelle University (Mekelle, Ethiopia).

o   Final year project: - Automatic design of gearbox using MATLAB software,

o   Other designs: Design and Manufacturing of telescopic hydraulic jack, Design of scissor jack.

o   Internship program for about six months in Ashegoda Wind Farm Technology Project (VERGNET spa, Quality control for wind towers (70m high), blades (Φ64m), turbine and other auxiliaries)

o   Basic training and drill in overhead work procedures (Ashegoda wind farm project)

Engine Room Cadet Trainee atEthiopian Maritime Training Institute, Bahir Dar, Ethiopia

o   Six month training taking multiple courses which are mandatory for being engine cadet (seafarer), according to International Maritimes Organization (IMO).

III.                EXPERIENCE RECORD

 

    September, 2014 - Present  -  Senior Mechanical Engineer

          Salini-impregilo spa, Equipment Department, GERDP (6400MW Dam project, Ethiopia)

o   Shift Engineer (coordinating and supervising over 60 employees (including 12 expatriate mechanics from different countries) of workshop in repairing of breakdown machines.

o   Controlling/Reporting breakdown maintenance and accident/incident records of machines.

o   Controlling and requesting necessary spare parts for performing the breakdown maintenance of site machines.

o   Coordinating over 40 employees (including five expatriate mechanics from different countries) in servicing and controlling the individual scheduled machines.

o   Controlling and scheduling of preventive maintenance, for every equipment available in the site (over 500 equipment, huge construction machines such as: DP100i, DX700, D7-11 drills, Astra RD50/40/32 dumpers, CAT 990H loaders,374/385 excavators Soilmec, Bauer, Link belts etc.).

o   Planning and requesting filter and lubrication oil consumption in performing preventive maintenance of site machines, and preparing check list and other necessary documents.

o   Supervising and scheduling Toolbox Talk/meeting for workshop employees (meeting before work start about work safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment, use of lifting equipment, environmental safety and previous accident/incident review etc.)

 

September, 2013 – August, 2014    - Mechanical Engineer

o   Participating in design and development of different military equipment (such as UAV, UGV, unmanned military tanks and military air crafts etc.)

o   Participating in designing and manufacturing of different workshop tools for the new developed research and development workshop.

o   Taking courses: - Engine, power train, hydraulic and pneumatic system for earth moving machines: - CAT Dozer, CAT/DOOSAN Excavator, Grader, CAT/XGMA Loader, Trucks, etc.…

o   Practice in overhauling, assembling and disassembling of engine, transmission, differential and other parts of machines.

o   Controlling and scheduling of the preventive maintenance for earth moving machines available in the site (over 100 machines).

o   Coordinating over 15 employees in workshop in servicing the individual scheduled machines.

o   Planning and requesting necessary spare parts, filters and lubrication oil consumption for performing preventive maintenance of site machinery, every three months.
