I just posted a new blog article, “What’s Costing Time? CPM vs. Critical Path Analysis. [1]” It’s a follow-up to my previous blog article about Blake Sedore’s MIT paper on using critical path drag to optimize a manufacturing process.
That article has attracted a lot of interest. But it also seems to have led to some confusion as to the difference between CPM scheduling and critical path analysis.
The new article points out the value of identifying and computing drag through critical path analysis no matter what method was originally used to schedule the process, project or program.
