Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Was hoping to ask for help in the Pertmaster forum but that seems completely dead for months!...

After spending 4.5 years in Planning with P6 I am transitioning back to a Risk Analyst position to carry out Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis on Pertmaster.

I'm (very) rusty on Pertmaster having used P6 pretty consistently in the last nearly 5 years, can anyone advise any tips when using Pertmaster or any tips or tricks that I should be mindful of when exporting Schedules and running Risk Analysis from a schedule in P6?

I have the manual and the training certificate but any "real-world" use and advice on using the software tool would be great.

Thanks everyone,

Primavera Risk Analysis integrates directly with project schedules and cost estimates to provide quick and easy techniques to model risks and analyze the cost and schedule impacts of mitigating them.

SM,

Instead of importing your P6 schedule (which I want to believe is Level 3), why not build your risk model in Pertmaster at Level 2 and then run your analysis.

Hi SM.

If in doubt resort to a spreadsheet for detailed analysis.

Export for review - Import for results.

But then excell is not the best software. Lotus 123 still excells.

Best regards
