Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

there are rates at the top of this page for to determine installation durations. There are also standard estimating programs out there that will give you durations based on industry standards of installation i.e. X number of LF of large conduit installtion per day. Timberline (now SAGE), Richardson Race, Accu Bid, McCormik, Cubit, STACk, Turbobid, ProEst.

Hi Mangesh

The prices are in £ but the production rates are pretty well universal.

Best regards

Hi Ed

The RICS publish estimating books - also on CD - which have production outputs for construction work including M&E.

Other publications are Spons and also Hutchinson which you can order from Amazon.

Best regards

Hi

Ed, Actually there is no such standard production rate, Its depends upon your company status regarding the Maximum number of labors, Machinery and cash.

For example, concrete road surfacing (300mm)-6.7 m2/hour,  But the important thing is whether your company can produce exact productivity? or some time your project team have high capacity to produce more?

unbalanced productivity can create  problems while setting duration and float.

First of all you need to arrange all the activities  with in the contractual dates. from there you have to set the productivity then durations and links . you can consult the construction managers, site engineers, machines like excavator- there is a standard productivity, But the excavation rate depends upon the number of excavation machines own/available from your own company side, here your company  former data/historical data plays an important role

i will send you a link for productivity, but use it for just comparison purpose

Best of luck
