NOTES....
*About LRUG.
The inaugural meeting of the London Revit User Group (LRUG) took place on the 17th March 2010, with 26 Revit Users from various companies based in London.
The Members during a group discussion decided to keep the meetings small by limiting attendees to one representative from each company for a number or reasons. We are using member compaines conference / training room facilities and sometimes need to arrange security passes for the venue. Thus attendance currently is by invitation only.
We are also trying to get a balance across the Revit platforms at the first few meetings where we are looking to form a core of dedicated members and a committee for the group LRUG. All web site members have access to the same minutes, presentations and downloads.
The group has no secret agendas and is trying to get back to grass routes, a group for users to share knowledge and learn from on another across all disciplines of Revit.
Whist the meetings are to be limited to one person per company, as many users as you wish from a company may become members of the LRUG website.
Aims and Objectives:-
- To promote peer to peer support and networking for current and potential Revit users.
- To have LRUG meetings at regular intervals at a frequency determined by membership.
- To have presentations based on subjects chosen by the members.
- To be a voice for UK London Revit Users.
- To build a dedicated UK wish-list and become more than a lone UK voice in the wind.
- To share UK families and content.
- To share "Best Practice"
- To encourage UK manufacturers to produce Revit families and content.
- To providing educational opportunities, and the sharing information with members.
- To provide support for new London based Revit users.
- To provide tips and tricks at basic and geek levels!
- To report known bugs to members.
LRUG is a non profit making organisation. Currently we are running this off the kindness of companies providing small venues, any funds generated in the future will be used to finance meetings and events for it's members.
