Project Planner

Location - Hayes, Middlesex & Paddington

Rates - upto £400 per day Length- 6-month contract in IR35

The planner's role will be to develop project schedules on behalf of the project management team. In order to carry this role out, it is essential for the candidate to have experience of Network Rail planning and scheduling process and the enterprise scheduling system Primavera P6.
  • Prepare project work breakdown structures and an associated schedule which is capable of delivering the project objectives, and which provides effective project performance measurement and reporting.
  • To develop schedules in line with the project scheduling principles and processes.
  • Monitor and progress the schedule and make changes as required. Develop recovery schedules and contingency plans in order to meet changed objectives as necessary.
  • Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. Highlight key milestone and critical path issues to members of the team, provide an assessment of the impact of such issues and recommend solutions to correct the position.
  • Monitor and audit contractor plans, and their planning processes so that they comply with Network Rail requirements.
  • Interrogate contractor's statement of progress for schedule adherence and payment purposes.
