Investors in People Gold Award

Gleeds was recently awarded Gold by Investors in People (IIP); we are 1 of only 5 in the UK construction industry to attain the Gold standard; scoring on over 125 additional evidence requirements above the standard IIP mark. Achieving this during one of the worst recessions in living memory, is something we’re extremely proud of and shows where our priorities lay and how we honour our core values.

The YES Programme

The Gleeds YES programme forms part of our corporate responsibility programme and is an acronym for the 3 themes to which Gleeds is heavily committed – Youth, Education and Sport. Incorporating community needs, charity support and environmental issues, our activities are linked to themes which are inherent in our culture.

A selection of recent schemes include:

Youth: The Architects Exposé – showcasing the work of talented young architects; New Designers – celebrating graduate design work.

Education: “Our Hut” - a programme designed to educate primary school children about sustainability and the Built Environment; Links-In-India – the construction of 3 new primary schools in Calcutta

Sport: The UK Sporting Heroes Charity Event – in aid of Sport Relief. Sir Steve Redgrave CBE as the Gleeds Ambassador, we have a strong commitment to sport, with football, cricket, softball, rugby and netball teams keeping our staff healthy and active.
