Guild of Project Controls: Compendium | Roles | Assessment | Certifications | Membership

Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

What if an interviewer tells you the following "your duties will be planning, scheduling and some project controls".

What do they mean by "some project controls"?

What duties would you be supposed to do?

1. They don’t really know how to control a project, at least no procedures exist. Your chance to establish.
2. I’m doubting that project controls isn’t evaluated very high.
3. In many companies project controls is related to cost controlling and you spoke with a technician.
4. By the way, don’t you know that project controls is only to show to the customer? (I’m joking)

Good luck!
