Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am interested in exploring current work opportunities in California. Can anyone give me a good website or starting point for job listings in this area including likely keywords ? Seems like sometimes what I might call a Planning Engineer they there call a Project Contol man, what then are the terms to search for ? I am in the heavy civil engineering field.

The right term as Roger stated is Scheduler to search for a job in your area.

If you go to Primavera Job Page in USA , the Scheduler word is mostly used for Planning jobs on their Job Page.

If you can’t get a job as a construction scheduler in California, then you are not breathing! People in California call me weekly asking if I know of anyone I can recommend (and I line in Georgia now!)

Perhaps you want to be more on the planning side instead of the execution side. For that, you need to apply at the source, with architectural firms or with county government.

Otherwise, join and attend local professional groups such as the AACEi and PMI. Tell them of your desire and you won’t leave your first meeting without several business cards and promises of interviews. Good luck!

Try using Scheduler as a Key Word.
