Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Dear Mr. Sanjeev,

Please see my post to you regarding the 690 kilometer 56" pipeline project you were planning earlier this year.

If you would contact me directly at ben.robertson@sbcglobal.net or through the member to member contact method in Planning Planet, I may can help you.

I work with an European pipeline contractor (to find them work or companies desiring rental of their pipeline equipment and/or pipeline workers) that is interesting in large pipeline construction projects. This company is experienced in the laying of over 20,000 kilometers of all sizes of pipelines up to and including 56" and 60" pipeline jobs.

They are interested in subcontracting such jobs or renting multiple spreads of pipeline construction equipment with or without experienced key personnel, such as spreadmen, foremen, equipment operators, pipefitters, welders, etc. They will undertake work anywhere, including Iraq and Columbia. They will rent out there skilled workers alone, without renting the equipment.I know that they have at least two rental 48" pipe benders, available immediately with or without the experienced operators.

While they normally do not want to sell their equipment, there are available for sale (fourteen) 14 (surplus to needs)brand new - no hours-2007 Komatsu D-355 Pipelayers (the largest made) for sale at present. These are with transferrable factory warrantees. You will need this number and more of this size pipelayers.

If you check on the build-time required at the Komatsu factory and the Caterpillar factory (build time on Cat 587 pipelayers)you will see both quote 8 months to one year.If you have hunted new or used Pipelayers about the world, they are nearly impossible to find at any price.

Upon further information from you, I could get my friend at this company to run the numbers on what and how many pieces of equipment your job would require, and any other advice he may offer.

This company is part of a large consortium, so there is ample equipment, manpower and financial strength within associated members.
