Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Miguel,

Though there are options in P6 to get the critical path directly by pressing a button, like using filter options, most of the time it doesnt give you the real critcal path, especially when you have several milestone dates and constraints.

The best way though hectic is to trace the predecessor from the particular milestone.Customize the predecessor column to show the driving relationship and then start tracing the predecessors. You can give some activity code to drving predecessors and then filter it to get the critical path.

Best Regards,

San

1. Define your critical path.

2. Use filter.
