Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Is it possible to use weighting for rolled up performance % complete.

I have noted that as long as the budgeted units >0 then performance % complete rolls up. However the performance %complete does not change whatever the number of units is e.g. if 2 activities have 1hr each the rolled up percent complete is the same as if 1 activity has 1hr and the other has 1000hrs.

Can anybody help?

Hi Dave.

Performance percent complete uses the Total cost per activity as a weighting.

So the answer lies in your resource rates. If you use a rate of 1$/h you are then effectively using your budgeted units as a weighting.
