Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

When I import from an excel file it’s not grabbing budgeted units and original durations from anything other than the first resource listed in the TASKRSRC tab under that particular activity ID. Any clue as to why this is happening?

Hi Tim,

Your question is not so difficult. The only thing is, some of the Planners cannot immediately get the point of what you are for? The best thing in here is to cite an example.

Anyway you answer your own question.

Arnold

Well once again, I answered my own question. In order for it to maintain the hours of multiple resources on an activity when importing, you have have the User Pref > Calcs > Resource Assignments option set to Preserve the Units, Durations...

Am I asking too difficult of quesions? Or am I doing something wrong when I post so that no one will answer?

I even tried Exporting some data to excel, deleting the data out of P6 and then immediately re-importing the data from that specific file and it still doesn’t import the units and durations properly.
