Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

In P3, you will get details of the project such as the following:

Number of activities, Number of activities in longest path, Started activities, Completed activities, Number of relationships  and Percent complete.

What I am after for is the "Percent Complete".  My question is, in P6 how will I know its Percent Complete?  Thanks. Warren

Hi Mimoune

Performance % complete related to cost means price per unit

if your resource assign only unit...not the cost

then Performance % Complete will not help.

thanks Alex;

of course the resource must have unit/price assigned, otherwise performance % complete will show always 0
and to use manhour as a weight factor, we just put price as 1

note to myself: read the manual before asking questions

Call up a column called performance % complete, this should mirror physical % complete and will roll up through the WBS levels
Cheers

Is there any possible way to show project % complete in terms of time / effort like in P3?

Regards,

Shan

Hi Shanmugam,

In terms of time, you can use "duration % complete".

Regards.

Hi Mimoune,

I agree with James, to roll up the percentage based on physical you need to have your performnance % complete equal to your physical % complete. Then, try to change your "% complete type" from duration to physical and observe what will be the outcome.

This will only work if your programme is cost loaded.

Just try this exercise and let us know.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Arnold
