Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Due to a major malfunction with my previous laptop I have had to replace it. I was able to recover and remove my old C drive and now have it as an extrenal drive. I have had to reinstall primavera onto my new machine but I was wondering if there is any way of recovering the database from my old computer as it has a load of information that would take a very long time to reproduce in the new install. Thanks in advance

after a stand-alone installation you have the MS SQL-Server 2005 Management Studio... From there you can connect to the SQL server on your old c-drive --> Backup --> Connect to your current SQL-server --> Restore --> Synchronize pubuser and privuser.

If you didn’t understand my answer, ask your IT staff. They should be able to do it.

You learnt to do back-ups in future?

Good luck!
