Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I know there have been several threads on the use of negative lag, but I am looking for an alternative. I have to schedule a Red Zone meeting 60 days prior to the completion of certain phases of work.

Now, I know I can, in the initial schedule, setup a relationship with an activity that lands on the date that the meeting supposed to happen, but risk that a delay would push that date out even though it should not delay the meeting.

How can I get around this and not use negative lag with living schedule?

Thanks for your help.

Benjamin,

Try applying the primary constraint "as late as possible" to the Meeting Notification activity with FS60 lag to the successor activity, ie. the appropriate Completion Milestone.
If your completion date moves, (earlier or later) the Meeting Notification activity will move correspondingly.
