Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Ms. Shaerah,

Also could be due to requirement in P5 (the correct terminology apparently) of having superuser access to import. Cheers.....

Hi,

My advice is to start by exporting a small sample representative of the data you wish to import. This gives you a template XLS file into which you can cut and paste your required import data. Unfortunately, this is not as simple as it sounds. You need to ensure the Excel data is in the same format as that exported. Also, when exporting/importing relationships and resources etc, the export produces multiple tabs (sheets) in the one export XLS file. Thus, all tabs must be compiled correctly. E.g. there is one row of data for each relationship for a single task.
Again, export to XLS and see what I mean.
