Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Im porting mpx, mpp to P5

I use WBS Chart Pro from www.criticaltools.com to create the WBS on simply way
Then I do 2 ways of out put:
1- Save as MPX file, or
2-automatically open MS Project then save it MPP files

Try to import any of these files to P5; I have the same problem as below:
* Each WBS level represent as WBS level, it’s OK!
*but also represent it as an activity also
And as we knew the activities are the last level on WBS

As a prof. project manager you need to create WBS 1st then you go to network diagram, therefore believe me the upper program is the right tool for that

Just do a filter showing activity type = WBS summary and delete all.

Importing mpp to p5
when import mmp files to primavera p5, the summary tasks become activities plus it’s character as WBS level

please advise to keep the summary tasks on MSP as a WBS level with imported into P5
