Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi guys,
In P3e, is there anywhere on the screen that shows the date when we move the cursor on the barchart side, as in P3 3.1, on the top right?

Thanks.

I think the original post was asking about the P3 feature called the Datometer. No this is not in P3e. However as MKSE suggests make a request to Primavera Systems.

Then this one is the wish list to Primavera.

Thanks Ron
What I meant was that, when you move the cursor around the graphic area, we can see the date on the top correspond to the location of the graphic area, not physically stretching the bars.

Cheers

You have noticed a difference between P3 and P3e. P3 early activity dates are automatically changed when you change the graphical bar manually.

The same type of thing holds true for P3e (but you didn’t notice.) You think that the dates didn’t change because the dates in the activity box didn’t change. Here lies the difference.

With P3e, the graphical bar does not depict the activity early dates - it reflects the activity’s planned dates. When you change the bar manually in P3e, you change the planned dates, not the early dates. Good luck!
