Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I try to give you a step by step guide. HTH

1. Open Your project

2. Then Click assignment

3. Change Timescale @ the spreadsheet to month or week

4. Highlight the activity

5. Click Ctrl C

6. Open Excel

7. Click Ctrl V

That should work

reporting in P5 is very easy. Try it.
Print resource usage profile:
View "Activities" --> "resource usage profile" --> File --> "Print Preview" --> "Page Set-up (The Icon upper left corner) --> walk through the detail tabs --> "Options" mark "Resource Usage Profile"

P3 and P5/P6 are different programs, not just two different versions of the same one. So, many algorithms and procedures are different.
The way to produce and then save a report for export to EXCEL is rather easy. The produced format is csv and you can set a parameter that Excel automatically opens after the data was produced - the report ran. We produce most of our s-curves this way - just run the report. I don’t miss the P3 ability.
Just try it.

Thanks for your reply, you are right but i guess in P5 we can not export "Resource Usage Spread sheet" in excel format. Where as in P3 we can get such outputs in formats like csv or wk1.There it used to help me in production of S-Curves with lot of flexibility.

You’ll create a report with "Time Distributed Data" marked from the group Resource Assignments (or a similiar name). Then you’ll be guided by the wizzard. As output format you’ll select text/ASCII-file.
