Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Why larger pdf file size when using Windows XP?

pdf file size generated is 10 times larger when using Windows XP vs Windows Me!

I have just upgraded my laptop to Pentium 4 with Windows XP and found that the pdf files generated are almost 10 times larger in size compared to when I was using Windows Me.

I am using Adobe Abrobat 4.0 (in both cases) and the settings for the output are the same as when I was using Windows Me. Any clue why this is the case?

I think this is not about P3 but PDF writer or distiller.
Did you check the resolution setting for distiller(assuming that you are using distiller)?
