Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Numerous occassion when I tried to copy a file (which is not opened, eg. APEX), I received the error message "Cannot open files for project APEX".

However if I open the file and then execute the Copy command, then there is no problem. Any clue why the error message if the file is closed?

Thanks and best regards,
CS Ong

Hi CS,

We have experienced this issue before.

The way in which Primavera advised us to fix it was to re-install the P3 software. It was apparently caused due to some windows programmes being "open" when the P3 software was installed.

Hope this helps.

The Planning Planet Team.
