Intro:

Lautec offers a challenging and exciting work environment supporting the renewable energy revolution in the United States. For the development and construction of the United States first commercial-scale offshore wind farm we are looking for best in class EPC project planners to join our growing business within PMO management.

Key accountabilities

The planning manager will cover the planning for the entire scope of the development and construction of an offshore wind park, including all onshore and offshore works. 

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining master time schedules for the entire EPCI project
  • Preparing and maintaining the Project Time Management Plan
  • Documenting reasoning behind the time schedules in a planning assumption book 
  • Provide detailed planning analysis as required within the project
  • Perform Scenario Analysis to support appropriate decision making
  • Facilitate that requirements to the suppliers planning and progress reporting
  • Review suppliers time schedules and ensure compliance with the overall construction schedule
  • Keep the project organisation informed of schedule changes and report progress, performance and forecast on a regular basis
  • Close corporation with risk management and cost control

Essential Education 

The right candidate will hold a master or bachelors degree and have five to eight years of demonstrable experience large complex projects and show understanding of scheduling processes, complexities, challenges, and opportunities required. This includes the challenges and risks associated with offshore projects. 

The candidate will have relevant and recent knowledge of Primavera P6.

Other Requirements 

Finally, the position is based in Boston MA. and candidates must live locally or be willing to relocate / commute. 

Desirable criteria & qualifications

Project Management PMP certification or PMI Schedulling certification

About Lautec:

Lautec was founded in 2015 by Henrik Iversen and Anders Pihlkjaer, both working as Lead planners/Risk Managers in DONG Energy / Ørsted. The company is specialized in PMO support functions with a key focus on planning, risk and interface management for offshore wind projects but also IT systems made bespoke for the offshore wind industry.

Today, we are 18 PMO consultants and 8 IT consultants, and we are working primarily for Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, but we also work for GE, E.ON, Innogy, 50Hz and others. Our main office is in Copenhagen, but most of our consultants are either expats or working on a commuting basis in various regions of the world (Taiwan, US, Canada, Germany).
