Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I am currently working in one project with P6. What is the best method to archive weekly updated schedules?

When I used SureTrak it was as simple as saving the file with a different name and accessing the file from my desktop folder.

Any suggestions would be great?

Thanks

Chris

Would saving the weekly versions as baselines serve your purpose?  This way, you would not clutter your EPS.  And also, this allows you to compare any VERSION with any of your REAL baselines and/or the current plan.  Just thinking out loud...

Why would some lines duplicate?

Or if you want to store an archive copy in a seperate are for security in case your database goes FUBAR, open the project, go to file, export and select your desktop.

You won't be able to open it without first re-importing the file, but it is a proper archive.

Go to the project listing, highlight the version you want to save, copy, paste (gives another/new version to go on with)

I hope this is not too simplistic?

Best Regards
