Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

I need help

Hai fellowmen

Don’t degrade yourselves by quarreling among you. Everybody knows what the reality is in the MIDDLE EAST COUNTRIES. Just face the reality and if possible try to change the situation with our intelligence rather than quarreling with intelligence.

take care of every word you write in this forum - it will reflect lot of other fellowmen.

Be happy.....be more intelligent and demand more with knowledge

Cheers to all

regards

Hi,

Gopala said "It is just because of thier hard work and intelligence all the technological advancements has been achived."

Evidence of Typical Slave mentality of Indians who degrades other pround Indians (like me).

Ravi,

You should not forget one thing . It is just because of thier hard work and intelligence all the technological advancements has been achived . We might have just learned to copy some their works . You are prefectly right the % of such ideal and intelligent persons are getting reduced drastically .

Never get too much boosted up with the little knowledge what is being achived . Try to avoid critisism and try to gain knowledge in all spheres .

You might be right in some way, But we are not the judges to sy who is right and wrong .

Trevor,

Yes business here is very strange indeed.

Here, in middle east countries there is discrimination between people and salaries vary hugely with respect to nationality.

White skin - english speaking people get twice or more than twice salary of other nations. We have people here (with same experience) with almost twice the salary difference in same company in same department.

If you leave the company, u require NOC from the present employer and most of the companies dont give NOC. Local companies even put ban on you; that means you cannot work in the country for six months. This policy is made by government to make sure there is loyality with the company. And this happens only in these middle east countries.

Some south asian guy or from eastern africa will be doing most of teh job with a person from native english speaking country as his BOSS, who doesnt know a shit about the program. Doesn’t understand anything abt primavera. Saying "FLOAT" gives him too many options. Least casual about the Clause 14 program and its approval.

He can crack some joke in english and found to be the most knowledgable person in the entire team because of his sense of humour.

Most important, u will soon realise, he is not even qualified and he is either a FITTER / CARPENTER or some tradesman. He comes here just to save money. Good / knowledgeable europeans are very rare species here and within few years they will vanish from here after seeing the project management. Thats one of the reason, u will not find a european planner in these middle east countries having almost 10 years + gulf experience; and also not in this forum.

Yes, it is indeed strange.

Dont take it personally, buy yes this is how it works here.

:-(

Balu,

25K is very small,

you got MBA (mababangis na aso)

it should be more thant 25K.

a word of caution: getting more than 25K is not a problem but but can you deliver??????

or are you a value added project team member????

can you sustain??? Do you have the can do attitude

if your answer is yes, then, your salary is sky is the limit.

You guys do business in a strange way in South Asia.
Surely, it is not your role to suggest a figure.
They make an offer, which must include an offer of a salary. You can then choose to accept or decline or make an alternative proposal.
You should also not tell them what your current salary is because that is personal information between you and the tax man (and your wife) and has not the slightest relevance to this new offer.

Depends upon your age, experience and location offered.

Definitely not less than 25K AED per month. If its offshore, then accomodation and other facility need to be provided apart from above salary.
