Tips on using this forum..
(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?
(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

if somebody can discuss here the basics for LOB, would appreciate their help thnx
TimeChainage by Peter Milton Planning can be used for Line of Balance programming. It is also great for time chainage charts. See our web site at www.timechainage.co.uk

Hi Mike
Do you know any free software that can calculate LOB?
If not, which software by Graphisoft can has LOB option?
"Vico Software Control (Flowline/Line of Balance/LoB)"
It works in gantt chart too so you dont have to walk away from gantt, and it works dynamically so you can make changes in either view.
Control 2009 Launching today boasts links to P6 and MSP so you can check and update your work in Control and then export to whichever software your client or management demand.
Take a look at Vico Software Control 2009 and check out the quick demo movie which give you a great overview. You can download a 60day free trial period and you can download interactive training guides (ITGs) which will train you on the basic features to get you started.
Go Go Vico!
Graphisoft Flowline software is a pure line of balance system. It is very simple and graphically stunning. 3000 activities displayed on 1 A3 sheet.
A similar effect can be achieved in PowerProject using "Task Per Line" mode and linking between trades vertically through the levels.
Although Tilos software is intended for "Time Chain" civils work it is easily adapted to a high rise line of balance programme.
Good hunting and best regards
