Tips on using this forum..

(1) Explain your problem, don't simply post "This isn't working". What were you doing when you faced the problem? What have you tried to resolve - did you look for a solution using "Search" ? Has it happened just once or several times?

(2) It's also good to get feedback when a solution is found, return to the original post to explain how it was resolved so that more people can also use the results.

Hi all.
Could you suggest me a list of popular Project Management software, a short description of the software (pros and cons), and the link to the software website also.
I remember seeing this kind of list in the past but can not find out now.

Thank you in advance.

Hi KD! Have you heard about Pivotal Tracker? We are planning to shift to this agile project management software. We used basecamp before but don't really get updates I think in years. They also have iPhone application and that's what I want to use.

Here is a comparison of the various project management software packages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_project_management_software

Don't get fooled by the word "famous". Though they are famous, they might not have features which can help you manage your projects which is going to be useless. I use a project management software for surveyors called Latitude. It's not famous but it has features that really helps me to manage my team and my projects. Its features helps me track clients, manage documents, create invoices of job costs, and can export employee timesheets to quickbooks for payroll.

List of software and a short description? What you are asking for can be found here: http://www.timedoctor.com/blog/2011/02/02/43-project-management-software-alternatives It also has a comparison table for you to evaluate each software base from the features it offer.

Edit: By the way, I just noticed this that it is already a 2 yr old thread. Well, you can just use the above info as for your future reference.
